The organisation is especially well-positioned to provide emergency support during the pandemic and is taking the lead in establishing more than ten, 100-bedded COVID-19 care facilities at remote locations at the district level to assist different state governments in responding to unprecedented caseloads being witnessed during the second wave of the pandemic.Specifically, CARE India is supporting the provision of COVID-19 care across various locations and helping state governments in:(1) Setting-up makeshift COVID-19 facilities in association with concerned state governments;(2) Providing essential medical consumables like oxygen, medical equipment and PPE kits to the makeshift COVID-19 facilities;(3) Mobilizing the health professionals required, including doctors and nursing staff, to operationalize the COVID-19 facilities;(4) Raising awareness of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour within communities.For more information about CARE India, please visit http://www.careindia.org/3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Key Responsibilities:(A) Management of Patients at Designated COVID-19 Facilities by:(1) Providing medical care to OPD and IPD patients in accordance with prescribed and updated Government and recommended protocols for treatment;(2) Keeping patients and their families informed about the illness, providing appropriate information about the treatment to be followed and checking that they have understood the same;(3) Advising proper lab/ radiographic investigations for diagnosis;(4) Following-up on the progress of hospitalized/ IPD patients through daily visits, consultations, and examinations, prescribing necessary treatment and ensuring timely decision on discharge and/or transfer to other facilities in consultation with concerned doctors and informing their families about the patient’s case evolution;(5) Ensuring ongoing training of medical/ paramedical multidisciplinary team to optimize the quality of care, as well calibration of all testing and life support equipment;(6) Ensuring maintenance of optimum inventory at all times;(7) Developing standard SOPs for the clinical management of COVID patients and suggesting revision based on experience and new knowledge acquired through various channels;(8) Ensuring proper record-keeping and documentation, as appropriate, after each ward visit.(B) Support Assigned Public Health Facilities (District Hospital/ Sub-Divisional Hospital/ Community Health Centres) to Improve 24x7 Service Provisioning. Efforts shall be made to help these facilities in providing CEMoNC services by:(1) Working with facility doctors/ nursing staff in managing day to day clinical work;(2) Helping in building clinical skills through on-the-job handholding and capacity building;(3) Facilitating Facility Assessment and devising Action Plans to address identified gaps;(4) Ensuring tracking of planned actions, as well as health, safety and security measures;(5) Handholding of Quality Circle Members/ Facility Staff on critical processes;(6) Helping the CARE India and Government teams in preparing required SOPs/ Formats and Guidelines;(7) Ensuring compliance with existing BMW Policy by all reportees;(8) Supporting the execution of assigned tasks requested by partner State Governments and/or higher authorities.4. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:Qualifications:Essential:MD/ DNB in Anaesthesiology/ Anaesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine from a recognised college/ institution.Essential Registration:MCI/ State Registration.Experience:Two years' experience of working in intensive care setup in government or private sector is preferred. Exceptional applicants with less experience may also be considered.5. VACANCY DETAILS: 15 vacancies6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:Honorarium budgeted for the position is Rs. 5,00,000/- per month. Budgeted honorarium, as above, is indicative and actual offers shall depend on the credentials and experience of the candidate. Honorarium offered shall not pose a constraint in hiring suitable candidates.(Note: Given the prevalent pandemic situation, CARE India shall provide economy class return air ticket from the base location to duty station(s), secure boarding and lodging facilities and generous COVID-19 insurance coverage during the employment period).7. LOCATION: Andhra Pradesh (Vijayanagaram, Vishakhapatnam), Bihar (Bhojpur, Buxar, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Nalanda, Patna, Purnia, Rohtas, Vaishali), Chhattisgarh (Raipur), Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal), Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Telangana (Hyderabad/ Mehboobnagar), Uttar Pradesh (Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Lucknow)8.
