Walk-in interview for the post of Senior Resident will be held on 07.10.2025 (Tuesday) & 08.10.2025 (Wednesday).
1. The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respects can appear for the walk-in interview as per the days mentioned above.
2. The applicants applying in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling eligibility criteria in all respects as on the date of interview.
3. The candidates can appear for the walk-in interview in the discipline of Emergency Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in addition to their own specialty.
4. Academic Qualification during the Transition Period as per eligibility criteria by NMCTEQ 2025 read with MSR 2023: For Emergency Medicine - Candidates from the specialties of General Medicine, Anaesthesia, Respiratory Medicine, General Surgery and Orthopaedics can appear for the walk-in interview in addition to their own specialty. For Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Candidates from the specialties of General Medicine with Diploma in PMR, General Surgery and Orthopaedics can appear for the walkin interview in addition to their own specialty.
(a) All the candidates are advised to appear for document verification along with filled application form as attached within the scheduled time (09.00AM – 11.00 AM). No candidate will be entertained to attend document verification after 11.00 AM on all scheduled dates as mentioned above.
(b) Only those candidates whose documents are verified will be allowed to attend walk-in interview.
(c) Reservation of posts is applicable as per Government of India Guidelines.
(d) Fifteen Posts in Senior Resident (3 years’ tenure) are horizontally reserved for PwD category in identified posts.
(e) The Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital reserves the right to vary these vacancies including increase or decrease or cancellation of filling up of any or all post without assigning any reason.
(f) Change in date of interview, etc. if any, will be intimated on website only. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for any updated information relating to the recruitment. Other terms and conditions as mentioned in Annexure “A”.
(g) The engagement will be subject to outcome in case of recruitment related litigations if any.
(h) In case of turnout of candidates is more than the ratio of 1:10 per post, the competent authority at their own discretion may conduct a screening test to shortlist the candidates for the interview. The screening test will consist of multiple choice questions in the concerned discipline. The marks obtained in the screening test will not in any way be linked to the final selection process. The performance of the candidate in the interview will be the sole criteria for selecting the candidate for the respective post. Mere participation in the screening test will not confer any claim for the post.
The candidates are advised to bring their all Original Certificates with one set of self-attested photocopies of the following during document verification
(i) Identity Proof [PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhar Card etc.]
(ii) Address Proof [Ration Card, Passport, Driving License, Aadhar Card etc.]
(iii) Certificate showing Date of Birth [10th Certificate/Birth Certificate]
(iv) Two Recent passport size photographs.
(v) Photocopies of Aadhar Card/PAN Card and Bank Passbook [At the time of joining for only selected candidates]
(vi) Class 10th& 12th Mark Sheets or Certificates.
(vii) MBBS, MD/MS/DNB and Experience certificate whichever is applicable as per NMC guidelines.
(viii) Registration with National Medical Commission / State Medical Council [For Medical Candidates]
(ix) Subsequent to the selection, the candidate has to register with Tamilnadu State Medical Council not later than 30 days from the date of joining if not registered at the time of joining.
(x) Internship Completion Certificate.
(xi) Reservation category Certificate [OBC*/SC/ST/PH/EWS] in the format prescribed by Govt. of India (* Candidate should belong to non-creamy layer of central lists of OBC).
(xii) NOC (If applicable).
(xiii) Demand draft for Interview Fee of Rs.500/- in favour of ESI Fund A.C No.1, payable at Chennai. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
